An iconic venue in the heart of Montreux, a total immersion in the world of the Montreux Jazz festival. The filet of steak was exquisite, the service super professional and the ambiance exactly how music lovers would like it. Not easy to keep the high standard of an institution but the MJC knows perfectly well to maintain all that.

Always a great time here. The food is superb and the service is alway fast and friendly.

The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and very comfortable.

We are a &#39;senior citizen&#39; couple, and the occasion to visit this restaurant was my wife&#39;s birthday. We arrived a little early before our appointment, but we were warmly welcomed by the restaurant manager, given a choice of which table to sit, and lo and behold, we sat just as the sun was setting over the &#39;glowing&#39; lake on a near perfect spring evening in Montreux, after the rains. They allowed us to relax and presented us with the menu, which offered great choices for our &#39;healthy&#39; diet lifestyle. My wife choice fish and I chicken, and of course, a healthy quantity of fine local red wine. We delighted in the red wine for the first 20 minutes (with excellent freshly baked bread and special butter and a vegan spread), before our main course arrived. It was cooked perfectly, and the pommes frites (which I had also changed to, even though my original accompaniment was going to be &#39;bl&eacute;&#39; or likely some cereal) was just &#39;something to die for&#39;.Later, we decided to indulge ourselves with some dessert, and we ordered chocolate mouse for myself and chocolate pudding for my wife. Some 15 minutes, we suddenly &#39;saw&#39; the lights switched off, and the staff came round to our table singing happy birthday lovingly to my wife, and presented the dessert with a bright &#39;fire&#39; sprouting away. We were surprised at this &#39;celebration&#39;, and appreciated very much the special warmth, friendliness and kindness of the staff at this gesture.More red wine was ordered, yes, it was an extraordinary indulgence for us, but the decor, quality of food and wine, the reception, staff treatment of us and our own joy in being there all made it necessary to &#39;indulge&#39;.It was a most memorable evening that we will always recall with fondness, and I wish to thank all the staff at the Safran for the very natural way they helped us make this special evening truly extra specially memorable.All the very best to Safran and Eurotel and of course, glorious Montreux, it is a &#39;package&#39; from the heavens!

Great choice of pizzas and the salads are fresh. I also like that there is space between tables. It&rsquo;s a little local treasure

While the ambience was very nice, the service was very slow and some of the drinks we ordered were mostly ice. When mentioned to the bartender, we were told that is how the drink is served. I&#39;m sorry, but 2 sips and a glass full of ice is unacceptable.

Excellent food with great variety on the menu truly something for everyone. One of the best views in Montreux all complimented by great service.

Excellent food with a world class view of the lake.   Service was very good and the food was delicious!  I liked the protein and sauce options that allowed me to tailor my meal to my preference.  Will definitely dine here again in the future.

The view at the restaurant cannot be beat. Most of our food was good except the rib eye was very fatty. The service is extremely slow. Our waitress never checked how the food was and disappeared after dessert. After sitting almost an hour we had to get up and find a manager to get our bill. We were charged $9 SF a bottle for tap water. So almost $20 for water that comes free out of fountains all over Switzerland.
